Torna un rubrica abbastanza apprezzata in passato. Spero di fare cosa gradita a tutti quelli che leggeranno queste righe.

Nel marasma delle app che escono per iOS ci si può davvero perdere…

qua in genere non troverete ciò che tutti recensiscono (infatti non sono recensioni), ma troverete una "nota" di quello che può "sfuggirvi"

ed ecco che ogni tanto mi piace segnalarVi alcune app degne di nota...

Cannon Fodder Clone Hits iOS:

Sensible Software’s Cannon Fodder would be an excellent candidate for iOS, but Codemasters has never released it. Worry not though, because Chillingo has also realised this and just released a surprisingly good clone for iPad and iPhone.
Taking control of a small squad of soldiers (which can be increased in size as the game continues) you simply follow out objectives that range from destroying buildings, to holding off against a set number of enemies. Controls are very straightforward, as you simply touch the screen for wherever you want to go. Shooting is handled in a similar way, while rockets and grenades are used by simply swiping in the direction you wish to fire.
Money can be collected which will unlock additional weapons and abilities, but there is also the option for in-app purchases if you’re too lazy to put any effort in. There are three chaptes with 8 missions for each, ensuring a fair amount of play for your £1.99. The only real downside is that it’s a little simplistic and so far, hasn’t offered any real challenge like Cannon Fodder used to. It’s certainly worth investigating if you’re a fan of the series though.

Oggi ho provato per la prima volta  la AppleTV di seconda generazione (quella economica :D).


Bello il packaging, bello l'OS ma secondo me ha una limitazione fondamentale.
Bello Youtube, Flickr, l'acquisto di film ma il problema è che puoi utilizzarla solo con quello che hai su iTunes. Questo è il problema. Solo con quello e basta. 


Serviva una sola cosa... Un navigatore di cartelle per leggere TUTTO il contenuto del Computer condiviso.

C'è un metodo però per aggirare l'ostacolo. L'Airplay.

Ad esempio si può istallare su un dispositivo con iOS l'app "Air Video Server" che legge tutti i formati video presenti sul server, e "sharare" con AirPlay su AppleTV

Poi ho appena provato Real Racing 2 HD che supporta l'airplay mirroring...
anche se a me i giochi di guida non fanno esattamente impazzire, è un vero sballo. Proprio uno sballo.

Da pochi giorni è disponibile il Jailbreak dell'ultimo firmware, ed ho voluto provare XBMC.

Bello da vedere, legge tutti i formati video, e tutto il resto. Ma il mio parere è quello che sembra solo un modo per complicarsi e complicarmi la vita.
Continuerò ad usare il metodo descritto nel post... semplice funzionale e veloce.
